Munduk sits among clove gardens and cloud forest above the twin lakes of Buyan and Tamblingan. The roads are steep, the waterfalls are hidden, and the best viewpoints are only quiet before nine in the morning.

That is where we come in. Hawk Bali Tours is a small team of drivers based in Munduk. We plan the route around light, weather and crowds, wait while you swim, and bring you home when you’re ready — not when a group schedule says so.

There is no public bus or shuttle in Munduk, and ride-hailing cars rarely wait in the mountains. The roads between Munduk, Bedugul and the twin lakes are steep and narrow, fog can roll in by early afternoon, and many waterfalls start from unmarked village paths. A local Munduk driver takes all of that off your hands.

Questions about hiring a Munduk driver

How do I book a Munduk driver?

Send us a WhatsApp message or use the booking form with your date, pickup point and number of guests. We reply with a confirmation — no online payment needed. You pay your driver in cash (IDR or USD) at the end of the day.

Is the price per person or per car?

All prices are per private car, for 1 to 6 guests. Entrance tickets and meals are not included unless stated, so you only pay for what you actually visit.

Do your drivers speak English?

Yes. Our drivers are locals from the Munduk area and speak conversational English. They are drivers first and happy informal guides — for in-depth temple guiding we can arrange a licensed guide.

Can you pick us up from the airport or south Bali?

Yes. We run private transfers to and from Munduk from Bali Airport, Ubud, Canggu, Seminyak, Sanur, Nusa Dua, Lovina and more. Tours can also start in south Bali for a small surcharge.

Can we change the itinerary?

Of course. Every tour is private, so you can skip, add or reorder stops. Just tell your driver on the day.

What should we bring?

Comfortable shoes, swimwear for the waterfalls, a light jacket (the highlands are cool, especially mornings), a sarong for temples, sunscreen and some cash for entrance tickets.

What is your cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup. Because we don’t take deposits, we simply ask you to let us know as early as possible.
